Surrounded by their wedding party – including the maid of honor, Jessa's sister Jinger, 20, and the best man, Ben's best friend Dylan McMahan, 24 – the couple held hands and beamed as they became man and wife.
"Ben is a peacemaker and a gentle, kind man," Jessa's mom, Michelle, 49, says. "I am grateful for the way the Lord brings two people together. We love Jessa so much and are so happy for her."
Friends and family from around the country – and the world – were in attendance as Jessa, engaged since August, walked down the aisle. The small town of Bentonville expanded over the wedding weekend, as well-wishers close to the couple attended their rehearsal and wedding.
"Ben is a man of integrity," says his best man, McMahan. "I know he's going to honor his wife and put her first."
Ben is the oldest of seven children born to Michael and Guinn Seewald of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
"I was the same age as Ben when I was going through the same thing," his father, Michael, 39, told PEOPLE of his son's courtship of Jessa. "For me, it helped to mature me. A committed relationship does a lot to mature a young man. It does make them grow up a little bit. I can see that happening to Ben already."
The couple will honeymoon at an undisclosed location.
