To appear gaunt for portraying Lou Bloom in ‘Nightcrawler’, Jake Gyllenhaal lost 30 pounds of his weight. Gyllenhaal said that he thought that Lou looked hungry and creepy so that he decided to do this extreme workout and diet.
ABC News reported that Jake Gyllenhaal revealed how he could lose 30 pounds of his weight to maximally portrayed Lou Bloom in his latest movie ‘Nightcrawler’. For your information, the Los Angeles’ actor normally weighs 180 pounds, according to ET online. Gyllenhaal explained that what he did to transform into his current physical appearance were doing lots of workout yet taking very minimal food intake.
For the diet, Gyllenhaal admitted that he only ate kale salad and chewing gum. Riz Ahmad, Gyllenhaal’s co-star, said that the Lou performer ate chewing gum only to trick his brain that he had been having meals. Besides, Ahmed added that Gyllenhaal chewed the gum when he had his exercise bike and had one-calorie almond tea.
For the workout, Jake Gyllenhaal took an extreme way to lose 30 pounds in weeks. The ‘Prisoners’ stars was willing to miss his leisure time with friends to run 15 miles every night, as reported by ABC News. He himself was aware that he did that like coyotes that it was not healthy yet it was not dangerous.
