On Thursday, 16th of October 2014, the official cause of Joan Rivers’ death had been released by New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner, according to People magazine. The senior comedian who was born as Joan Alexandra Molinsky died in her 81-year-old on 4th of September 2014. Made her debut in 1959, Joan Rivers continued to develop her career in America television industry.
Before her official cause of death released last Thursday, Joan Rivers reportedly died due to cardiac arrest while having a medical procedure for her throat.
It has been a month after our funny senior host Joan Rivers died, yet the official cause of her death just released last Thursday. New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner released a statement that day that the ‘Fashion Police’ famous host due to ‘anoxic encephalopathy due to hypoxic arrest’ when she had laryngoscopy procedure at Yorkville Endoscopy a week before her death, as reported by E! News. According to Chicago Tribune, ‘anoxic encephalopathy’ refers to a state in which the brain was damaged because of it lacks of oxygen. Rivers also suffered from ‘upper gastrointestinal endoscopy’ when she was under ‘propofol sedation’.
Addressing this report, Joan Rivers’ daughter Melissa posted on her Facebook account that she and family continued to sadden for their beloved one and expressed her gratitude for love and support for the late Joan Rivers. Melissa Rivers also stated that she did not give more comment on the current released report.
Joan Rivers went to Yorkville Endoscopy private clinic of Manhattan on 28th of August to have her routine procedure on her vocal cord when she suddenly got cardiac arrest. Later, Rivers enrolled in Mount Sinai Hospital where she had a coma until she was pronounced died on 4th of September 2014. Her funeral was held at Temple Emanu-el of Manhattan on 7th of September 2014 with numerous public figures colleagues of hers attended as she wanted to.
