Iggy Azalea Tops Nominees at 2014 American Music Awards
2014 is the year of Iggy Azalea as the 24-year-old Australian female rapper tops the nominee of 42nd Annual American Music Awards. Dick Clark Production had announced this happy news for the ’Fancy’ performer in ‘Good Morning America’ on Monday, 13th of October 2014. 

That day, it was also announced that 42nd Annual American Music Awards would be held at Nokia Theatre of Los Angeles on Sunday, 23rd of November 2014, as reported by Rolling Stone. This music event would also be aired live on ABC channel since 8 PM ET, according to E! News. The site also mentioned that Charli XCX would be the first performer for the first performer for the 23rd of November event. The ‘Boom Clap’ singer would also be the nominee reader along with ‘Wiggle’ singer Jason Derulo.

Dick Clark Production revealed that Iggy Azalea tops the nominee by having six nominations in the 42nd Annual American Music Awards, as reported by ABC News.

Iggy Azalea is not play around this year as she tops the nominees once she was included as the nomination of American Music Awards, according to E! News. The Australian rapper who was once alleged to release a sex tape got six nominations in total, leaving behind Katy Perry, Pharell Williams and John Legend with five nominations for each. Meanwhile, ‘Royal’ hit maker Lorde did well enough by earning four nominations for 42nd Annual American Music Awards.

The media had released the full list of nominees showing that Iggy Azalea’s name did top the nominees in 2014 American Music Awards. The New South Wales rapstress competes with 9 others singers in the Artist of the Year category, some of whom are Beyonce, John Legend, Katy Perry, and Lorde. 

Then, in the New Artist of The Year, Iggy Azalea was named together with 5 Seconds of Summer, Sam Smith, Bastille, and Meghan Trainor. Iggy’s ‘Fancy’ stands side by side with ‘All of Me’s John Legend, ‘Dark Horse’s Katy Perry, ‘Rude’s Magic!, and ‘Happy’s Pharell Williams in the Single of the Year. Iggy met again with Lorde and Katy Perry to take hold of Favorite Female Artist Pop/Rock. Iggy was also nominated in the Favorite Artist Rap/Hip-Hop along with Eminem and Drake.
