‘A Perfect Murder’ actress Gwyneth Paltrow warmly welcomed United States President Barrack Obama in her house in the Brentwood neighborhood in the evening of Thursday, 9th of October 2014. The 42-year-old actress’ home became the host for one of three Obama’s ‘Hollywood Fundraisers’ under Democratic National Committee. Fox News reported that anyone who wanted to attend the prestigious fundraiser should spend between $1,000 up to $32,000. ABC News further explained that the reception ticket for the event cost at least $1000 and the dinner ticket cost $15,000 minimally.
Gwyneth Paltrow struggled to remember her speech while mesmerized by President Barrack Obama.
We think that nothing could let Gwyneth Paltrow speechless as she is now famous for her various works in acting, singing, and food writing. Yet, she was speechless, indeed, while she should deliver a speech as a host before the President of United States of America. Paltrow welcomed the President and introduced him to the guests while gushed that President Obama’s charisma made the Academy Award winner ‘could not speak properly’. Furthermore, the mother of two also confessed that she was one of the US President’s biggest fans.
USA Today reported that the Thursday’s fundraiser was Gwyneth Paltrow’s second event held for Obama’s benefit. The former wife of Coldplay’s vocalist Chris Martin once held a similar fundraiser of UK’s expatriates in London back in 2012 for the President’s re-election campaign. Yet, last Thursday event was Paltrow’s very first time meeting the first African-American President of US. Gwyneth Paltrow was also listed as a long-lasting supported for Democrat. She also actively participated in Democrats Abroad when she lived in London with her former husband, according to Daily News UK.
Gladly, President Obama also enjoyed being in Gwyneth Paltrow’s home. Moroever, some celebrities such as Julia Roberts, Bradley Whitford, and Ryan Murphy were spotte attending the fundraiser, as reported by JustJared. President Obama expressed his gratitude for the actress’ warm welcoming and the Hollywood residents’ supports in his speech later.
